We are currently working with a Local Authority in South Wales who are looking to recruit a Integrated Transport Unit Manager to sit within the Infrastructure & Environmental Services team.
Job: Integrated Transport Unit Manager
Duration: 3 months
Rate: £36.42 per hour via Umbrella Company, Inside IR35
Site presence: Hybrid – to be discussed
Role
- Strategically lead the Integrated Transport Unit
- Ensure that the Service Plan is delivered and transport needs are cost effective, efficient and form part of an integrated service provision
- The Integrated Transport Unit Manager will develop and deliver robust plans to ensure service plans are in line with the divisions annual Business Plan
Knowledge and experience
- Local Government experience required for initial shortlisting, then thereafter at the client’s discretion
- Significant management and strategic experience in the public transport sector
- Excellent knowledge of public transport with particular skills or experience in all of the following – Bus Service Improvement Plans, Enhanced Partnerships, fleet decarbonisation, demand responsive transport, community transport, Mobility as a Service
- Significant experience in developing business plans to maximise sustainable income streams and commercialise transport operations
- Experience in management of stakeholder relationships, whilst protecting the interests of the council
