Interim Communication and Engagement Manager – ERP
Based in London, hybrid Working
3 month contract (likely to extend to 6)
The Communication and Engagement Manager will support the large scale ERP transformation programme that is soon to be taking place across the Council.
Key Responsibilities of the interim Communication and Engagement Manager:
- Develop and implement comprehensive communication and engagement strategies that support the delivery of the ERP transformation
- Act as the key communication liaison for all major ERP-related updates, handling messaging for various business units and external partners
- Work closely with the ERP technical teams to translate complex technical information into accessible, stakeholder-friendly messages
- Support the change management process, providing communication that reinforces change initiatives and mitigates resistance
- Lead the creation and delivery of multi-channel communication campaigns that engage internal and external stakeholders
- Stakeholder mapping and analysis, ensuring successful engagement across all levels of the organisation, including senior executives, suppliers, and end-users
- Manage the change agent network and deliver updates on the effectiveness of communication and change initiatives to the programme board and business readiness teams
Skills, experience and knowledge required of the interim Communication and Engagement Manager:
- Extensive experience (minimum 6 years) in programme implementation communications and engagement across local councils
- Demonstrated expertise in leading communications for large-scale ERP transformation programmes
- Experience in managing change agents and developing feedback mechanisms to ensure effective communication and engagement throughout project stages
- Strong understanding of either SAP and/or Oracle ERP systems and the challenges associated with their implementation within local government settings
- Experience in cross-functional collaboration with technical teams, ensuring smooth communication between business units and IT departments
