Permanent IT Technician

Venn Group is seeking an IT Technician to join a prestigious independent school in Essex.
Salary: Circa £22,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Location: Essex
Length: Permanent
Job responsibilities include:
- Providing 1st line support through monitoring the IT helpdesk, ensuring appropriate service levels are maintained and issues resolved satisfactorily
- Installing computer hardware and managing their integration with the network
- Ensuring computer systems are kept up to date, deploying updates, patches and software as requested
- Supporting and maintaining all School-owned user technology including desktops, software, laptops, printers, and mobile technology
- Managing the college Wi-Fi system
- Maintaining Windows 10 based PCs and Laptops and Apple iPads
- Installing and maintaining equipment such as multi-functional printers and interactive whiteboards, ensuring that the hardware is regularly tested and ready to use when required
The successful candidate will have:
- Experience supporting, troubleshooting and resolving technology issues, ideally within the education sector
- Knowledge of MS Servers, Active Directory, Windows 10 and O365
- Worked using structured helpdesk policies and procedures in a support environment
- The ability to communicate politely and effectively at all times to a wide range of users, key stakeholders and external organisations
