Interim Lettings Officer Required via Venn Group
Venn Group Social Housing Recruitment Teamare currently recruiting for an Interim Lettings Officer for our client based in Dorset to begin employment within their expanding team.
Location: Dorset
Contract Type: 3 months +
Hours: 37 hours Mon-Thurs 8:30 - 17:15, Fri 8:30 – 16:45
Rate: £12.95 (Negotiable DOE)
Responsibilities include:
- Act as the first point of contact for tenants, escalating issues when needed
- Carry out comprehensive affordability assessments by gathering financial information
- Complete assessments and calculate affordability of incoming residents
- Provide advice to residents about their eligibility for the property and also provide them with moving advice
- Advice residents about different tenancies and tenures and to emphasis their rights and responsibilities as stated in the tenancy agreement
- Prepare sign up documents, including tenancy agreements for residents ahead of the sign up
- Carry out viewings and sign up of available properties
- Process tenancy terminations and update systems in accordance with tenancy conditions and policy, checking that correct notice periods are given
Essential Skills:
- A current enhanced DBS issued within the past 12 months
- Relevant experience in Lettings
- Previous experience in Lettings and Housing Management
- Good knowledge of the private lettings process
- Identify support needs and safeguarding tenancies
- Tenancy sustainment
- Assessing tenancy support needs of low income families
