Litigation Lawyer (Part-Time)
Remuneration: £45,573 - £48,836 plus a market supplement of up to £4,786 per annum (pro rata) and generous benefits including Local Government Pension Scheme.
Introduction:
Waverley Borough Council seeks a Litigation Solicitor to join their team on a part-time basis, of around 18 – 30 hours per week, on a flexible working pattern.
As Litigation Lawyer, you will manage a broad litigation caseload touching upon both civil and criminal matters. You will be supported by a Senior Lawyer and Deputy Borough Solicitor to further develop your experience and expertise.

Key Responsibilities:
- Advise on regulatory and prosecutions matters, civil claims, possessions, and housing disrepair
- Deal with licensing matters including attending the Council’s licensing committees
- Provide support to Senior Lawyers and potentially Deputy Borough Solicitor
About you:
- Qualified solicitor, barrister, or legal executive with an up-to-date practising certificate (the cost of the practising certificate will be met annually by Waverley Borough Council)
- Experience of working in either civil, commercial or criminal litigation
