Locum Adult Social Care Lawyer – Predominantly Remote Working – 3 months + - Up to £65 per hour umbrella – East Midlands
Venn Group’s specialist legal team are currently working with a reputable Local Authority in the East Midlands who are recruiting for a Locum Adult Social Care Lawyer to join their department.
The role is offered for an initial period of 3 Months with a likely extension and will be worked on a Predominantly Remote Working basis with occasional court attendance required. Our client is ideally looking for a full-time candidate however, part time candidates who possess the relevant experience are also encouraged to apply.
The ideal candidate will be a Solicitor or Barrister with prior experience working within Local Government carrying a full and varied caseload of Adult Social Care matters.
Previous experience and knowledge needed includes:
- Understanding of the legal framework and case law relating to, Adult Social Care and Health
- Understanding of the issues facing Local Authorities, legal service departments and Lawyers
- Providing legal advice to Local Authority clients in one or more of the areas above on complex matters
- Manage and prioritise workloads to achieve Client outcomes to timescale and within budget
- Self-sufficient in the production of all documents and correspondence without the need to rely on secretarial staff
- Previous experience of conducting your own advocacy is desirable
An hourly rate of up to £65 per hour umbrella is offered for this position dependent on experience level.
