Locum Adult Social Care Paralegal – Up to £25 per hour Umbrella – Remote Working – Home Counties

Venn Group’s specialist legal team are currently working with an established Local Authority in the Home Counties who are recruiting for a Locum Adult Social Care Paralegal to join their department.

This is a brilliant opportunity for a Paralegal to become part of a forward thinking, proactive Local Authority. This is a full-time position however candidates with part-time availability may also be considered.

The role is offered for an initial period of 3 Months but with a likelihood of being extended based on workload.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working within Local Government specialising in Litigation and/or Adult Social Care Law.

Duties may include:      

• Providing legal support to Solicitors within the team

• Carrying out administrative support and preparation of welfare and Deprivation of Liberty authorisation cases in the Court of Protection

• Dealing with Threats of Judicial Review and other casework relating to Adult Social Care

• Drafting of case summaries, briefs to Counsel and letters of instruction to experts

• Diary maintenance of Solicitors and clients with court dates

• Obtaining disclosure from third parties, such as schools, police and hospitals

• Preparing bundles for hearings and circulating them to court and the relevant parties

• Making expert enquiries or obtaining Counsel for hearings

• Completing internal case lists for the progression of matters
