Locum Adult Social Care Solicitor –Midlands – Fully Remote Working – 3 months initially– up to £48 per hour umbrella
Venn Group’s specialist legal team are thrilled to be recruiting for a Locum Adult Social Care Solicitor to join an excellent Local Authority in the Midlands. This assignment will be for an initial period of three months with the scope to possibly being ongoing thereafter and will be worked on a fully remote basis for the foreseeable future. The client is seeking a candidate either on a full time or part time basis.
The ideal candidate would be a Qualified Solicitor who is able to handle a busy caseload of Public Adult Social Care matters with professional experience gained within Local Government.
Duties may include:

Instructing on aspects of community care under both the Care Act 2014 and National Assistance Act 1948, including ordinary residence, direct payments and personal budgets, vulnerable adults, appointeeship/deputyship

Appearing in the Court of Protection for both health and welfare and property and financial affairs related matters

Defending Applications for Judicial Review in the Administrative Court

Handling matters concerning continuing Health Care funding, s117 Mental Health Act 1983, adult safeguarding and debt recovery of care fees

Defending Judicial review proceedings in relation to community care matters and disputing age assessments
An attractive hourly rate of up to £48 is offered for this position dependant on experience.
