Locum Part Time Commercial Contracts Lawyer – East of England – 3 Months + – Remote Working – Up to £50 (Umbrella)
Venn Group’s specialist legal team are currently working with an established Local Authority in the East of England who are recruiting for a Locum Part Time Commercial Contracts Lawyer to join their department.
This assignment will run for an initial period of 3 months and is offered on a full time basis however part time candidates with the relevant experience will also be considered for the role.
This position will be worked on a fully remote basis and is suitable for an experienced Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive with previous experience within Local Government.
Daily duties will include:

Reviewing existing contracts, revising and amending existing contracts to make them fit for the Council’s purpose.

Drafting novation agreements and providing guidance on incomplete contracts and contracts, which have concluded.

Dealing with public procurement activities including advising on the compliant conduct of procurement competitions (open, restrictive, competitive dialogue, contracts and framework agreements)

Handling a diverse caseload of commercial contracts and provided advice on complex procurements and contractual matters
The role is offering an attractive rate of up to £50 per hour umbrella dependent upon experience
