Locum Information Governance Officer – East Anglia – 3 to 6 Months – Remote Working – up to £50 per hour D.O.E
Venn Group’s specialist legal team are currently working with an established Local Authority in East Anglia who are recruiting for a Locum Information Governance Officer to join their department.
This assignment is offered on a part-time basis (3 days per week) however candidates possessing relevant experience who can only offer full-time hours will also be considered.
The position is for an initial period of 3 months with the possibility of extension thereafter whilst they recruit permanently. This role can be worked on a fully remote basis for the duration of the assignment for those who do not live locally.
This opportunity is suitable for an Information Governance specialist, ideally with prior experience working within Local Government.
Daily duties will include:

Handling matters concerning FOI requests

Mitigating data breaches and resolving data protection issues in partnership with senior management and an external website host organisation

Facilitating specialist legal advice in addition to resolving issues surrounding data protection legislation and GDPR compliance

Dealing with Subject Access Requests and ensuring new requests are logged onto the database

Dealing with Data Protection related matters

Managing a workload of Environmental Information Regulation matters
This hourly rate for this position is up to £50 Umbrella depending on levels of experience.
