Locum Planning & Highways Lawyer (Highways Emphasis) – East Midlands – 3 months+ - Remote Working – Up to £50 (Umbrella)
Venn Group’s specialist legal team are delighted to be recruiting for a Planning & Highways Lawyer (with Highways emphasis) to join a reputable Local Authority within the East Midlands.
This assignment will run for an initial period of 3 months and is offered on a full time basis however part time candidates (4 days) with the relevant experience will also be considered for the role. This role will be worked on a fully remote basis for the foreseeable future.
The successful candidate will have thorough knowledge of Highways Law and will have professional experience gained within Local Government.
This position is suitable for an experienced Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive with previous experience within Local Government.
Daily duties may include:

Providing legal advice in relation to the Highways Act 1980 s 25 s38 and s278 agreements, diversion orders, stopping up orders, enforcement against obstructions

Advising on Public rights of way and applications under Part III Wildlife & Countryside at 1981

To provide advice and services to client organisations in planning, development and highways matters and other corporate or constitution and administrative matters

Managing a complex caseload and delivering advice within the timescales required by the client
The role is offering a rate of up to £50 per hour (Umbrella) dependent upon experience
