Locum Major Projects Lawyer – West Midlands – Local Authority – 6 months – Remote Working – Outside IR35
Venn Group have just been instructed of a new opportunity working on some exciting projects seeking a Locum Major Projects Lawyer to join their Authority on a 6 month initial contract with the likelihood of extension.
The Organisation are based in the West Midlands and are seeking an experienced Commercial Contracts Lawyer with relevant experience handling a commercial projects caseload.
The Authority will consider both full time and part time applicants and the role can be carried out on an entirely remote working basis, however if occasional office attendance is possible then this would be encouraged.
This is for a competitive hourly rate, paying outside IR35 – however rate will be dependent on relevant experience handling a major projects caseload within Local Government.
The successful applicant for this position will have previous experience handling a major projects based caseload dealing with a full variety of commercial, construction and procurement matters along with regeneration projects.
Role Responsibilities:
- Advising on regeneration matters within the region alongside various acquisitions and disposals that are ongoing
- Negotiating and drafting complex multi-site contracts and public health agreements
- Dealing with any large scale, complex contracts across a wide remit of commercial, construction and procurement matters
- Providing advice on public procurement regulations, tendering processes and contract management
- Assisting the Council with any projects that arise
- Collaborating closely with internal stakeholders and promote effective decision-making
