Venn Group are currently working with an organisation in Cambridge to recruit an Accountant. This is a part time role of 18.75 hours per week on a fixed term contract until July 2025 initially.
The role will effectively manage income and expenditure that will positively contribute to the financial position. This will be achieved through providing financial information including management accounts, funders reports, preparation of budgets and forecasts.
Main responsibilities:
- Produce monthly management accounts
- Undertake the month-end routine for reporting, generate monthly financial reports and review for accounting errors
- Prepare all budgets, forecasts, and financial plans in respect of existing or proposed services
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial accounts, variance analysis, and management information
- Raise purchases, monitor all open purchases, coding of financial transactions, reclaim expenditure.
- Advise staff in the use of financial systems and resolve issues, analyse systems usage and financial procedures
- Support with reporting and meetings with Grant Funders for the purposes of grant monitoring and audit
Requirements:
- CCAB qualified or near qualified finance professional with experience of producing and presenting financial reports to both financial and non-financial stakeholders
- It would be highly benefiting if the candidate had experience in grant management including costing, managing expenditure and reporting.
