A London based College Group is recruiting a Management Accountant to join the Finance team. the post holder will be the lead professional in preparing monthly management accounts, acting as a business partner for departments across the organisation.
Daily rate: £180-£200 (daily rates above this may be considered for exceptional experience)
Working hours: part-time or full-time considered
Location: South West London (hybrid working)
Contract type: Interim
Contract length: 6 months with possibility to go permanent
Job responsibilities:
- Responsible for the month-end management accounting process including reviewing forecasts, income allocations, accruals and prepayments, recharges and other journals
- Work closely with budget holders and be the first point of contact for providing financial performance information
- Lead in preparing departmental budgets for budget holders
- Support the CFO in the preparation of the College budget including budgeting for all funding body grants, tuition fees, and other income
- Supporting the CFO in the preparation of regulatory reports
Person specification
- Part qualified Accountant with substantial experience working in a Management Accounting role
- Experience business partnering or dealing with stakeholders
- Experience using a large financial system (Agresso is highly desirable)
- Experience working within the education sector
