Management Accountant (German Speaking)

Venn Group are delighted to be supporting a global business based in the Trafford Park area of Manchester who are looking to appoint an experienced Management Accountant who is fluent in German.

The role will involve the production of the monthly management accounts for their German entity so fluency in the german language is essential to the role. The role will also include monthly travel to Germany which will be entirely expensed by the business. Hours are full time, Monday to Friday and there is an expectation for you to be working on site in the office.

Duties will include:

• Prepare a set of accounts from ‘end to end’, comfortable posting accruals and prepayments, tax, fixed assets, leases, payroll etc.
• Prepare and maintain a fixed asset register in each company
• Liaise and challenge customers to agree rebates and price supports
• Variance analysis of the P&L and margin analysis of sales.
• Reconcile bank accounts
• Prepare and file VAT returns
• Treasury management – authorising payments of a large value to overseas suppliers
• Prepare year end statutory accounts
• Do a payroll run calculating the pay for staff and issuing payslips, answering payroll queries
• Sales reporting
• Intercompany reconciliations between parent and subsidiaries across multiple currencies
• Reconciling all balance sheet control accounts; PAYE, VAT, Wages, stock etc.

Role requirements:

• German speaking
• Part Qualified as a minimum however we would consider someone qualified by experience
• Able to travel to Germany on a monthly basis which will be fully expensed
