12-Month FTC Medical Workforce Operational Lead Immediately Required

Location: Remote (Occasional travel to Cornwall once per month)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Contract: 12 Months FTC
Salary: £58,972 - £68,525 (DOC Band 8B Agenda for Change Payscales)
Responsibilities:
- To work as a key member of the Workforce Efficiencies Team, the POD directorate within RCHT and the HR & OD directorate within CFT and develop effective, supportive relationships and channels of communication to ensure that the services provided meet operational needs and support the strategic plans of the Trust
- Communicate with a wide range of senior leaders; influencing and collaborating on a wide range of issues
- Effective day to day leadership and management including supervision and annual appraisals and utilising a flexible workforce across the department to support Trust requirements
- Oversee and carry out management of HR issues of direct reports and escalated HR issues for other members of staff within team, including temporary staff working in the organisation.
- Make decisions regarding commissioned investigations and preparing and delivering management cases on the outcome of staff employment
- Deliver training within team and across the full organisation when required to support Workforce Efficiencies workstreams
- Keep up to date on current practices, best practice, legislation and requirements of all services areas
- Support medical leaders and Medical Staffing teams in the development of a medical resourcing models
- Ensure that the workforce has the skills and experience to support the all models of care
- Map all improvement activities, consider priorities and ensure that available resource is targeted to best effect
- Support the on-going delivery of workforce synergies
- Support medical staffing teams in the development and transformational change of their services to deliver improved quality and productivity
- Develop a system wide workforce plan to ensure the organisation has an appropriately skilled and experience workforce at all levels
- Work with medical leaders and Medical Staffing teams to identify opportunities for on-going transformation and sustainable service improvement
Essential:
- Extensive experience of medical workforce models of working and terms and conditions
- Ability to provide highly specialist advice on a range of specialist areas
