Day to day responsibilities include:
- Lead, motivate, and develop staff team - conducting coaching, supervision, training etc.
- Ensure service delivery meets quality standards and key performance targets
- Manage budgets, finances, contracts to meet targets and optimize resources
- Build partnerships with external stakeholders like local authorities and health services
- Plan and organize operations, allocate resources efficiently
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and best practices
- Ensure regulatory compliance with policies, legislation, and frameworks
- Produce reports and data analysis on service delivery metrics
- Assess potential new clients/customers and determine appropriate support
- Oversee safeguarding protocols and manage concerns appropriately
The ideal candidate is a seasoned service manager or team leader in social care or housing support, combining compassion for vulnerable people with sharp business acumen to oversee operations. You lead by example, motivate and develop staff, and have a proven track record optimizing resources and delivering housing support services to exacting standards for mental health needs and high-risk populations.
Essential criteria include:
- Proven experience as a service manager or similar leadership role in social care/housing
- Knowledge of support needs for mental health, high-risk groups
- Strong leadership, people management, coaching skills
- Expertise meeting service quality standards, targets
- Experience managing budgets, finances, resources
- Knowledge of safeguarding protocols, regulatory frameworks
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management
