Mental Health Recovery Navigator

An excellent Support Provider in Bristol are recruiting for Mental Health Recovery Navigator with strong knowledge of supporting vulnerable clients in their recovery from mental health crisis.
Location: Mendip
Contract duration: 3 Months temporary to permanent
Hours: Full Time and Part Time available -working 5.30pm-11.30pm
Rate: £11 PAYE (inclusive of holiday pay) or £12.65 via Umbrella

Day to day responsibilities include:
- Support clients that are experiencing mental health crisis’ who are looking for a safe space to take time out and recover
- Assist with the bookings of appointments for clients
- Provide emotional and practical advice to clients who may be in mental health crisis, in family breakdown and have various mental health conditions
- Signpost service users to external support agencies
- Carry out risk and needs assessments
- Develop, review and monitor detailed support and safety plans
- Ensure vulnerable service users are safeguarded
- Support staff members to provide high quality advice and support to clients and provide a safe place where they can speak confidentially about their concerns
- Manage all case notes and ensure information is recorded on the database
- Liaise with various support services to ensure that clients receive the correct support
- Work collaboratively together with the client and mental health professionals to navigate and coordinate services (both social and clinical interventions), connecting into community resources, building resilience and improving wellbeing
- Provide housing related support and guide clients on how to access benefits, Universal Credit, and complete PIP forms
Essential criteria include:
- Strong demonstrable experience of supporting vulnerable clients with various mental health conditions
- Current enhanced DBS
