VACANCY – Mental Health Support Worker
Location: Tamworth (remote working)
Length: Temporary – 3 months
Hours: Part-time, approx. 9 hours per week
No set days, managing own timescales and caseload
Pay: Rate dependent on experience
Venn Group is currently recruiting for a Mental Health Support Worker, to provide essential support and guidance to a small caseload of individuals facing homelessness. Applicants must have previous experience of working with mental health issues or substance misuse issues, and preferably experience with homeless persons.
This position is fully remote, and offers the ability to manage own caseload and time, as such this post can be held alongside another position.
Responsibilities of the role:

To provide an effective mental health support service for individuals who have presented as homeless to the temporary sheltered accommodation

To provide critical mental health support and guidance with housing applications and benefit entitlements

Provide essential support to those affected by various mental health issues through the delivery of key triage sessions

Identify areas where individuals need specific support and signpost them to appropriate organisations, e.g.: addiction or money advice services

Conduct risk assessments of individuals in triage sessions and updating records as and when required
Essential experience/requirements:

Enhanced DBS certificate

Previous experience in a similar supportive role
