VACANCY – Mental Health Support Worker
Duration: 2 months with the possibility of extension
Location: Birmingham
Hours: 37.5hrs per week (must be flexible)
Pay Rate: £10.00 Inclusive of Holiday Pay
Venn Group are currently recruiting for a Mental Health Support Worker to be based in Birmingham working for a large charity. This opportunity is centred in a residential home setting. We are looking for an individual who has a strong background in working with vulnerable individuals such as mental health issues. Said candidate must hold a full enhanced DBS.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Overseeing a small caseload within the home supporting individuals with Mental Health needs
- Use motivational techniques to support service users supporting people to achieve successful outcomes
- Work actively, individually and as a team member to promote, measure and monitor quality against National Mind’s quality standards and service contract requirements
- Actively encourage service users to be involved in the development of the organisation and its service
- Proactively provide feedback to the organisation that has been gained from service users and other stakeholders to continuously improve both your own practice as well as overall service delivery
- Be solution focussed in relation to problem solving and actively support the introduction of new ideas, methods and processes
- Deal positively and constructively with incidents, accidents, complaints and feedback, in line with the charities policy guidelines and deal with these within the required timescales with support from your line manager
- Complete and/or participate in service users’ personal plans and assessments including risk assessments in partnership with the individual, supporters and colleagues
- Give guidance and support to service users in maintaining their tenancies
- Play an active role in the implementation of person centred plans and support individuals towards achieving successful outcomes
- Be immediately available and committed to the 2 month contract
The successful candidate will have:
- An enhanced DBS
- Previous experience working in this position
