Mental Health Support Worker – Urgently Required
Our client, a reputable charity in London is urgently seeking a Mental Health Worker to join their established team. The successful Mental Health Support Worker will be responsible for the delivery of outcome based support packages to clients suffering from mental health issues. It is essential to have experience working with mental health support.
Position: Mental Health Support Worker
Period: 3 months with possible extension
Hours: 35 hours a week (12pm – 8pm, Mon – Fri)
Location: London
DBS: Enhanced (preferably on the update service)
Rate: £11 - £14 per hour
Duties for this role will include:

Providing support to people in the community who are in need of support with their mental health

Ensuring the delivery of individual personalised support packages, reflective of difference customer needs, including culture and diversity issues

Supporting customers with day-to-day tenancy issues, payment of rent and liaising with landlords, etc.

Undertake referrals and assessments of potential customers, working with them to identify the most appropriate solutions for their needs

Meet clearly defined customer outcome targets through key-working, support plans, risk assessments and other interventions

Ensure that opportunities for education, training, employment and volunteering are integral to the support service. The aim being to enable customers to develop the life skills required to live as independently as possible

Work in line with health and safety, lone working procedures and safeguarding requirement to ensure the overall safety and security of customers

Identifying high complex needs clients, and being able to signpost and refer them to the appropriate services
Essential requirements:

Experience working with vulnerable people with complex needs and delivering person centred support in housing services

Experience working with people with mental health issues

Experience in lone working
