Mental Health Support Worker
A highly established charity is looking to recruit several Support Workers to work within their mental health Supported Housing services in Suffolk.
Please note that the Full Time position may include at least one sleep in per week
Type: Permanent
Location: Suffolk
Hours: Full time (37 Hours per week) or Part-Time (20 hours)
Shifts: Shift patterns across Monday-Sunday
Main duties:

Support clients with complex mental health needs in supported accommodation to become independent after leaving a hospital unit

Assist service users with claiming welfare benefits, housing needs and identify ways to promote their recovery

Provide support in times of crisis and actively signpost, liaise and communicate service users to external agencies that will facilitate their recovery and wellbeing

Encourage engagement and involvement within the services and help clients to access these services

Work with service users to identify opportunities for education, social activities and employment options

Assist service users to maintain appropriate standards of health and safety throughout the accommodation and promote good practice of maintenance
Essential requirements:

Previous experience with clients with complex mental health needs

Full and valid driving license with access to your own vehicle is preferred

Knowledge or experience in a supported housing setting
If you are successful in this role then you will be subject to an Enhanced DBS check
