Overview
We are recruiting multiple Loan Administrators to join our expanding team supporting syndicated, bilateral (committed and uncommitted) and agency loan processing across the EMEA region. These roles will operate within a high-performing team environment, covering both Facility Agent and Participant responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities

Execute daily loan processing activities across the EMEA region in either a Facility Agent or Participant capacity.

Input all appropriate loan transactions into LIQ or other internal systems, ensuring compliance with internal and external standards.

Ensure accurate and timely processing of loan events, including drawdowns, rollovers, repayments, fee payments, nostro reconciliations, and loan-related reporting.

Monitor and ensure completion of all required key controls including queue management, intra-day reports, and aide memoire actions.

Support Team Leaders and Section Head in decision-making, strategic planning, and overall performance management of the team.

Act as a referral point for junior Administrators; provide coaching, guidance, and on-the-job training as needed.

Liaise daily with Front Office, Treasury, Pre-Closing teams, and other internal stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of loan events.

Communicate directly with external stakeholders, including Agent Banks, bilateral counterparties, and inter-group companies, to manage settlements and resolve queries.

Participate in process improvement initiatives and contribute to increased automation and Straight Through Processing (STP), while maintaining risk controls.

Provide cross-team support and cover across other Loan Administration teams as required.

Undertake system testing in collaboration with IT and relevant departments as part of project rollouts or enhancements.
Background and Context
-
Responsible for both Agency and Participant loan processing under a 4-eye control model, in accordance with Head Office rules, regulatory obligations, and local procedures.

Collaboration with outsourced processing teams and front office partners to deliver high-quality service across the EMEA loan portfolio.

Management and coordination of end-to-end loan lifecycle events, ensuring data integrity, operational efficiency, and compliance.
Stakeholder Interaction

Daily interaction with:

Treasury, Loan Capital Markets, and Front Office teams

Section Head and Assistant Team Leaders

External banking counterparts, borrowers, and agent banks

Regular contact with internal teams (Marketing, Pre-Closing, IT) and third-party service providers to ensure effective transaction management.
Key Skills & Competencies
-
Strong knowledge of syndicated and bilateral loan processing, ideally with LIQ system experience.

Proven experience in loan administration within a banking or financial institution.

Understanding of regulatory frameworks (e.g., Head Office rules, local compliance obligations).

Ability to work under pressure in a deadline-driven environment with excellent attention to detail.

Team-oriented, proactive, and adaptable with strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Familiarity with Agile working practices and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence) is desirable.
