Venn Group are currently working with an NHS organisation in Dorset, who are seeking a Network Telephony Manager to provide temporary management support for at least 3 months with the option to extend.
Day-to-day duties include:
- Act as the subject matter expert for the network and telephony requirements of the Trust, collaborating directly with customers on issues, challenges and requests, and converting business requirements into technical solutions.
- Maintain strategic partner relationships to ensure all areas of day-to-day operation and change management run smoothly and effectively. Key to this will be the relationship between estates and facilities division and this post will act as a relationship manager to estates for digital services, helping them to prioritise their development requirements through the use of established governance mechanisms.
- Responsible and accountable for providing a safe, secure, reliable, and robust network and telecoms infrastructure, community locations and administrative buildings, and which adjoins the Public Switched Telephone Network.
- Support the Head of DTI to ensure future enhancements and network and telephony refresh programmes are delivered on time and in-line with budget specification.
- Operate as a technical lead for projects as required including evaluation and validation of services, and input and assist with design, management and support of multiple programmes and BAU activity.
- Responsible for the management of key third party suppliers, regularly working with them to develop new services/capabilities and resolve and fix faults.
- Act as a role model by demonstrating leadership and expertise, and by maintaining credibility within the Trust and the wider health and social care economy, ensuring a positive image of the Trust and the DTI department is maintained.
- Create management reports on unified comms infrastructure (telephony, switchboard, bleeps, pagers, mobiles, etc) capacity and usage availability.
