Night Support Worker
A job opportunity has arisen for a Night Support Worker in Borehamwood. This is a 3-month temporary-to-permanent role.
Length: 3 Months Temporary to Permanent
Hours: Night shifts – 8pm – 8am (4 days on, 4 days off)
Location: Borehamwood
Pay rate: £13.87 including holiday pay
The role involves:
• Providing a night concierge service to residents and visitors within a homeless hostel
• Conducting curfew checks
• Controlling access to the building
• Monitoring CCTV systems to identify any possible incidents
• Undertaking frequent and regular patrols of the building and monitoring any anti-social behaviour
• Dealing with health and safety issues
• Acting as a fire warden in the event of a fire alarm being triggered
• Contacting the “on-call” manager in the event of an emergency or serious incident
• Being compassionate and caring in the event a resident is feeling vulnerable
• Dealing with mental health crisis that may arise
Additional requirements:
• Experience in a similar position working night shifts
• An enhanced DBS with adults and children’s workforce check, ideally from within three years or the willingness to obtain a new one
• Experience working with vulnerable clients
