Operations Support Officer (SEMH Transformation Team)
We are currently working with an organisation who are in need of an individual who is experienced within the area of SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health). They are looking for someone on an interim basis, please see below for further details on the role:
The SEMH team will be writing, driving and delivering the SEMH Transformation Strategy which is just beginning and involves fundamental shifts in systems, level of challenge and relationships with stakeholders across the area including schools, partners, agencies, children and families.
The work of this role includes:
• Supporting the reviewing and mapping of SEMH provision
• Writing and reviewing 500+ Pupil Placement Plans for children being placed in section 19 Alternative Provision to include curriculum offer
• Following LA permanent exclusions processes to ensure the LA meets its Day 6 statutory placement responsibilities and Day 10 responsibilities for children with medical needs
• Taking an active part in the administration of the Quality Assurance and monitoring processes of Section 19 Alternative Provision
• Designing, writing and reviewing Pupil Re-integration Plans 5-16yrs
• Supporting the development of policies, procedures and operational frameworks
• Processing, analysis and presentation of data around permanent and fixed term exclusions, attendance of vulnerable children and pupil progress in Section 19 AP
• Working with the team in the development of an Early Years Foundation Stage SEMH support programme
• Helping to modify the processes for the LAs response to permanent exclusions from schools
• Supporting the team’s work as required with children, schools and families in reducing permanent exclusions for children with EHCPs
Start: ASAP
Duration: Until March 2022
Rate: £200-250 per day via an umbrella company
