Criminal Justice Worker
Part Time
Our client, a prestigious support provider in South Gloucestershire urgently requires a criminal justice worker to join their team in providing support to those with addiction to access treatment and rehabilitation
Location: South Gloucestershire
Contract duration: 5 months +
Hours: 37.5 hours

Hourly Rate: £12 PAYE or £13.50 Umbrella
Day to day responsibilities include:
- Working as part of a drug and alcohols service, work closely with the criminal justice partners to engage clients with addiction into treatment and support them with their recovery
- Provide assessments in a range of criminal justice settings and create person centred support plans to identify client needs and interventions
- Provide harm reduction advice and interventions, including needle programmes, naloxone and blood borne virus testing
- Provide key working sessions and provide housing related support and signpost for further support with physical and mental health conditions
- Liaise with the community treatment teams for opiate substitution and relapse prevention
- Work with police and criminal justice partnership agencies to support and enable early engagement for those on release from prison and establish how to reduce reoffending
Essential criteria include:
- An enhanced DBS
- Experience supporting complex needs clients and experience working with those with substance misuse issues/addiction or ex-offenders
- Ability to identify safeguarding risks and record information accurately
