Payroll Advisor
We are working with a large, London based Charity to recruit to a Payroll Advisor position
The successful post holder will provide high-quality payroll support to the busy payroll department through the checking and reporting within a monthly payroll of approximately 4,500 payees
Job Responsibilities:
- Support the Payroll Manager and Deputy Payroll Manager in delivering timely and accurate payrolls, in accordance with the agreed timetables and in compliance with statutory legislation and deadlines
- Calculating and checking contractual pay changes that are processed by the HR Support Team referring to appropriate pay scales
- Checking, calculating, and inputting leaver details processed by the HR Support Team
- Calculate and enter holiday pay, pay in lieu of notice and other termination payments due to leavers
- Validate and check statutory payments and deductions
- Check monthly exception and variance reports, in-month error and warning reports
- Work with the Payroll Manager and Deputy Payroll Manager to develop and streamline internal processes and train new members of the team
Person Specification:
- Good previous experience of working within in a large and complex payroll environment, preferably in the Charity sector
- Demonstrable experience of prioritising high volumes of payroll processing activities, ensuring total accuracy, and working within strict timelines
- Demonstrable strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey information to customers and colleagues in a clear, effective and professional manner
- Experience of working on iTrent (Desirable)
- CIPP Qualified (Desirable)
Salary: £33,000 - £35,000 per annum
