Payroll Officer
An exciting position has arisen for a Payroll Officer to work for a large Charity based in London.
The post holder will be reporting into the Payroll and Pensions Manager and will be responsible for processing a full range of payroll & pensions services including year-end.
Job responsibilities include:
- Assisting with the monthly payroll
- Being responsible for actioning a wide variety of payroll tasks within the employee life cycle
- Ensuring compliance with current statutory regulations; keep up to date with legislative changes (such as statutory benefits payments, tax, national insurance National Minimum wage, working time directive, right to work, GDPR)
- Carrying out manual calculations that are required, such as overtime payments, gross to net, advance payments
- Actioning all monthly pension data submissions, including leavers forms on the allocated schemes
- Checking all monthly pension data submissions and leaver forms on the allocated schemes
- Actioning employee, manager and provider queries and ensure response times are adhered to
- Managing and maintaining all employee data, computerised or manual
- Helping to resolve complex or controversial issues that may arise with individual pension claims
What they are looking for:
Essential Requirements
- Strong knowledge of UK Payroll Regulation’s
and/or
- Strong knowledge of UK pension processes and legislation
- Previous experience working in payroll and/or pension’s officer role
- Excellent IT/Microsoft Office Skills and administration skills
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
Knowledge, Skills, Behaviours
- Actively shows an interest in developing a career in HR
- CIPP Qualified or Equivalent
- Ability to carry out manual calculations in Tax, National Insurance and Pensions
