Planning & Administration Team Manager
Duration: 6 months
Location: Remote/London
Clearance Required: Basic DBS/BPSS
A Central Government department is seeking a Planning & Administration Team Manager to deliver efficient and effective administrative, financial and staff support services to the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead on planning of divisional budget round timeline
- Lead on divisional budget round submission, collating departmental budgets and producing divisional summary
- Request, collate and circulate programme information at budget round
- Attend monthly budget meeting with Management Accountant and Director
- Support the Director with the management of the Directors Office budget and signing off budget in the organisation’s finance system
- Line manage and facilitate the work of the Planning & Administration team fostering a collaborative and supportive team culture
Key Requirements:
- Proven ability of managing administration services with a strong track record and commitment to excellence in the field
- Demonstrable experience of setting up, maintaining, and improving the efficiency and cost effectiveness of administrative services whilst maintaining high standards of service delivery using a best practice approach
- Strong understanding of financial processes and experience of managing budgets successfully
- Highly organised with the ability to prioritise, co-ordinate and delegate tasks in order to meet deadlines
- A high level of proficiency with MS office packages including working with databases and spreadsheets and advanced Excel skills
