Job Title: Locum Planning Team Leader (Lawyer)
Location: London – Office presence 1-2 days per week (Hybrid working)
Duration: 3 months +
Venn Group’s specialist legal recruitment team are in partnership with a Local Authority based in London in their search for a Locum Planning Team Leader (Lawyer).
The role of Planning Team Leader is offered for an initial 3 month period with the probability for an extension.
This position is offered on a full time basis and the expectation for office presence is 1-2 days per week.
The ideal candidate for this role will be a qualified Barrister, Solicitor or Legal Executive (CILEx) with a proven track record of successfully handling planning law within a Local Government organisation.
Duties shall include:
- Working closely with the regeneration and planning officers
- Negotiating on major agreements
- Handling complex s106 agreements
- Advising in relation to high-profile regeneration schemes
- Planning Inquiries
- Managing a team of Planning Lawyers and Paralegals
Candidate Profile:
- Current practising certificate
- Significant planning, highways and regeneration legal experience, as well as management experience
- Local government experience
