Principal Lawyer – Planning

£63,273 - £68,032 per annum 

Our client in the Northern Home Countiesis looking for an ambitious and dynamic Principal Lawyer to lead and develop a fast-growing team of legal specialists.  

You will be part of the Legal Management Team supporting the corporate work of the service and assisting the Head of Legal to shape and deliver excellence within legal services. 

About the role: 

• Lead and manage a team of senior lawyers, lawyers and legal assistants ensuring the delivery of a seamless legal service at the highest professional standard 
• Personally resolve and deal with complex legal issues from a high-profile and politically sensitive case load for senior clients  
• To manage the relevant budget both internal and external legal spend 
• Establish, manage, and maintain excellent relationships with client and external stakeholders  

About you: 

• Qualified Solicitor, Barrister, Chartered Legal Executive or CILEX Lawyer (or equivalent) with a substantial number of years PQE 
• Significant experience in the field of Planning Law  
• Demonstrable experience strategically leading a team of legal specialists
