Public sector organisation seeks experienced Lawyer to join their in-house legal team as Principal Legal Officer.
Job Overview:
As a Principal Legal Officer specialising in procurement and commercial law, you will play a key role in providing high-quality legal advice and support. Reporting to the Principal Lawyer, you will work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure legal compliance and facilitate the procurement of goods and services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a legal advisor, providing expert advice on procurement and commercial matters
- Draft, negotiate, and interpret commercial contract documentation
- Ensure compliance with Public Procurement Regulations and other relevant legislation
- Collaborate with the Commercial Service team to advise on commercial matters
About you
- Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or FCILEX
- Experience in a legal advisory role, with a focus on procurement and commercial law.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
