Procurement Business Partner
We are currently working with a Public Sector organisation who require the interim support of a Procurement Business Partner. The role will involve strong experience of managing complex Procurement Projects, including managing a small team.
Role Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of a proactive and flexible approach to procurement that is able to respond to the needs of the council to deliver Vision 2030 whilst achieving value for money
- Develop and deliver Procurement Plans
- Support the Service Manager to develop, implement and monitor the Corporate Procurement Strategy
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with, and a practical knowledge of, client services, partners and suppliers to inform activity
- Produce and present accurate detailed and complex reports, articles and briefings, both verbally and in writing, on matters relating to the services within Procurement
- Develop and produce policies and strategies relating to Procurement Services
- Maintain oversight of procurement activity corporately and within designated client services
- Identify opportunities for service improvement within the Procurement Services
Key requirements:
- Fully MCIPS qualified
- Strong ICT experience of Procurement
- Local Government experience
- Experience of negotiating and consulting with internal and external stakeholders
Start: ASAP
Duration: 3 months initially with likely extensions
Rate: £450 a day via umbrella
Fully remote working
