Capital Procurement Manager
Location: London
Salary: £60,000
Venn Group are partnering with a leading property management company to recruit a Capital Procurement Manager. This is an exciting position reporting into the Head of Procurement that has been newly created as a result of the organisation’s impressive recent growth.
Job Description:
- Leading the RFP process from ITT stage through to contractual award, driving efficiencies in time and price reduction
- Providing advice on procurement routes and applying innovative negotiation throughout the tendering cycle from consultant appointment to contractors and agents
- Providing advice and oversight of risk management and transfer through the procurement and execution cycle
- Managing supplier performance, conducting due diligence ahead of appointment
- Developing with the projects team a set of performance KPI’s for suppliers, contractors and consultant’s and managing the overall KPI’s
- Supporting the projects team to ensure the supply chain has the capacity and resilience to meet future plan, building strong collaboration with vendors to maximise innovation and value.
- Managing material and systems selection in conjunction with the projects team to guarantee suitability and best value throughout the product life-span and beyond project completion.
- Establishing upstream contracts with manufacturers to apply consistency throughout the property assets
- Supporting the Head of Procurement in delivering the departmental objectives and budget
- Providing a strong link between external consultants and internal commercial and financial teams
To be successful in this role you will need to be / have:
- Degree qualified - within a construction or business-related discipline
- MCIPS or working towards this qualification
- Proven experience of tender management on major capital programmes and complex projects including construction and systems projects
- Proven experience of achieving cost savings and sustainable benefits through effective negotiations
- Experienced in procurement delivery and construction specific tender and contract regulation with in-depth knowledge of all forms of contract (JCT/NEC3/NEC4, framework agreements, etc)
- Experience of using digital procurement tools: e-tendering and P2P systems.
- Up to date knowledge of market conditions
- Extensive construction industry contacts at all levels of the supply chain
