Rate:  £400 - £500 per day (umbrella)

Hours: Full time

Venn Group are currently working with a Local Authority in Yorkshire who are seeking a Programme Manager to start at short notice on a 6 month contract. This role is based in East Yorkshire and offers a flexible working arrangement.

Main duties of the job:

• Play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of region-wide programmes that bring real-world benefits
• Lead the end-to-end programme lifecycle: scoping, business case development, planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation

• Manage multiple concurrent projects and workstreams within a coordinated programme framework
• Develop and manage programme budgets, ensuring compliance with internal controls and external funding requirements
• Lead cross-functional programme teams and provide guidance to project managers and officers
• Oversee the planning, implementation, and monitoring of a portfolio of high-priority programmes aligned with the strategic objectives

Essential Experience:

• Demonstrable experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder programmes, preferably in the public or not-for-profit sector
• Strong understanding of programme management methodologies such as MSP (Managing Successful Programmes), PRINCE2, or Agile delivery frameworks
• Proven track record in delivering programmes on time, within budget, and to expected outcomes
