Project Accountant

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Accountant to be part of a team, playing a pivotal role in supporting the organisation’s strategic and operational goals through effective financial oversight of capital and grant-funded projects. This role offers the chance to lead on financial control and accounting to contribute to the success of key projects for the college.

Job responsibilities:

-            Coordinate and deliver financial oversight for capital and grant-funded projects, ensuring accurate accounting and budget management

-            Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external auditors to plan and execute financial reporting and compliance activities

-            Ensure accurate accounting for all project-related income and expenditure, maintaining financial records and preparing reports in line with organisational policies and audit requirements

-            Act as financial lead for projects, advising on budget planning, procurement processes, and funding applications

-            Support the identification, application, and financial management of grant funding opportunities, ensuring compliance with funding conditions and timely submission of claims and reports

Candidate profile:

-            Strong technical knowledge of project accounting, capital expenditure, and financial reporting

-            Proven ability to manage multiple projects and funding streams in a deadline-driven environment

-            Comfortable working independently and collaboratively with finance and non-finance stakeholders

-            Professional, detail-oriented approach with excellent organisational, analytical and interpersonal skills

Role information:

-            Salary: £46,500 - £48,500

-            Contract type: Permanent

-            Working Hours: 36 hours per week

-            Location: Uxbridge
