Project Support Officer
Location: remote working
Length of contract: 3 months (with possibility of extension)
IR35 Status: Inside IR35
A Central Government organisation is seeking a Project Support Officer to support efficient and effective project delivery through the support it offers to project managers.
Key Requirements
- Experience of having been involved in the delivery of projects within agreed time, cost and quality constraints
- Understanding of project management tools and methodologies, and experience of applying them in practice
- Competent in MS Office Suite of products (esp. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Project)
- Ability to work at pace in a highly intense and pressured environment
- A positive, can do attitude with the understanding of having to be adaptable in approach and managing priorities in order to get the job done
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for the operation of project management processes and the co-ordination of business management actions and activities
- Supporting development plans, including the management and coordination of sign off processes by the Project Managers and the PMO
- Updating control documents, such as issues and risks through engagement and input from the teams and helping to update plans, risk logs etc.
- Updating regular (daily / weekly) trackers based on the outcome of the project meetings
- Facilitating Planning and Risk workshops, with the ability to contextualise outputs and produce detailed artefacts
- Supporting and servicing key stakeholders
- Following up and coordination of all reporting requirements, conducting a quality assurance and challenge function for all inputs
- Completion / co-ordination of requested reports and updates for the Project / Programme Boards (including the management and coordination of its sign off processes)
- Planning and preparations for the Project Board and Working Group Meetings, taking the meeting minutes and managing the feedback and approval process of the project documentation by the Project Board
