Job Title:                               Quality Assurance Manager

Duration:                              Permanent opportunity

Rate:                                      £58,000 – £68,000 per annum

Location:                               West Midlands; Hybrid flexibility to be discussed

Key duties:

• Act as Head of Quality
• Responsible for development and authorisation of QA&C standing operating procedures (SOPs)
• Provide support in relation to the appropriate storage of pharmaceuticals throughout, in particular the management and monitoring of the cold chain
• Participate in the provision of training to staff where required
• Integrate validated research findings into practice, ensuring the requirements of GMP and GCP
• Manage Service Level Agreements (SLA) for environmental monitoring and clean room clothing contracts and the associated budgets
• Ensure continuing adherence to the requirements of PQS and cGMP through regular internal inspections and report compliance

Skills required:

• Experience in preparing evidence portfolios for CQC and MHRA standards
• Provide professional leadership to a team of pharmacy staff, providing an aseptic service, ensuring all team members are patient focused and well trained
• Computer proficiency
• Ability to review and appropriately amend detailed documents
• Manage very difficult and ambiguous quality assurance related problems and make informed decisions
• Review and advise over the planning of new and replacement critical equipment, including its specification and purchase
• Ensuring it is adequately maintained and performance validated
• Liaise with other pharmacists, pharmaceutical scientists, technicians and clinicians to ensure a whole system, patients focused approach
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality related to patients, products, staff and services
