A reputable charity based in South East London are keen to secure a Recovery Coordinator to join their busy team on a permanent basis.
Duration: Permanent
Hours: 37.5 per week
Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5pm and 12:30pm – 9pm (normally one shift per week)
Weekends: Sat & Sun 10am – 8pm (normally once a month)
Location: Catford, South East London
Salary: Starting salary 25,000 per annum, Sleep in shifts are paid at £70 per night
Role responsibilities:
- To be responsible for a caseload of clients with mental health issues in a supported housing setting
- Completing personalised needs and safety assessments, creating person centred support plans and identifying SMART goals with the active involvement of tenants
- Review needs assessments, risk assessments and support plans regularly
- Ensure risk and safety is assessed for every goal identified and create a risk management plan promoting positive risk taking
- To support tenants to deal with welfare benefits applications and housing options
- Manage daily interactions and tenant queries in a way which provides reassurance, understanding and places an emphasis on active support
- Perform routine health, safety, security and surveillance checks to monitor tenant wellbeing
- Supporting tenants with social inclusion, and empowering them to be involved in education, training and employment
- To co-ordinate and liaise professionally with external stakeholders such as business associates, external professionals, police, GPs, local authority and other partner agencies
- To securely facilitate access by tenants to medications, (security featured facility) and ensure MARs sheets are up to date
- To support in clearing and re-furnishing vacancy rooms in preparation for re-letting
Essential criteria:
- Experience of managing a caseload of vulnerable people in a supported housing setting
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- An enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain
