Recovery Worker (Telecoms team)
Our client, a charity in the Hertfordshire area; are currently recruiting for a Recovery Worker for their service which specialises in supporting clients with alcohol and opiate misuse issues.
Length: 2-3 months ongoing
Location: Hertfordshire
Hours: 37 hours, Monday to Friday 9-5
This is a telephone only based role and you will not have your own caseload.
The position involves:
• Supporting clients with alcohol and opiate misuse issues via telephone
• Carrying out a triage service for vulnerable people calling into the service
• Processing referrals on the system and keeping records up to date
• Conducting interviews, further assessments and recommending appropriate recovery options or additional support services for clients
• Maintaining accurate and up to date records and following operational monitoring procedures
• Completing complex assessment forms catering specifically to the clients group including assessments of newly referred clients from the criminal justice sector
• Provide support and advice to service users, their families and potential service users about harm reduction
• Reducing drug and alcohol related harm to service users and the wider community
• Carry out risk assessments and reviews with special attention to safeguarding concerns
Essential requirements:
• Previous experience working with vulnerable adults suffering from drug and alcohol misuse
• Good IT skills
• A recent enhanced DBS with adult’s workforce, preferably within the last year or willingness to obtain a new one
