Venn Group is currently working with an NHS Trust, based in London, who are recruiting for a Research Contracts Officer. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated, proactive individual with degree in a relevant subject.

Rate: £331 per day via an Umbrella company
Location: London – Hybrid

IR35 Status: Inside

Duration: 2 months

Job Responsibilities:

• Reviewing research protocols and making judgments on the level of activity and  resource requirements to determine the level of funding required from a commercial  sponsor, as well as providing operational management and performance monitoring
• Working closely with researchers in developing commercial research collaborations providing expert knowledge and advice working to targeted set up times as part of the overall research project approval
• Providing a dedicated pre and post contractual management service for commercial and non-commercial research activity taking
• Providing advice to the Trust and reviewing, drafting and amending, as required, a wide range of agreements connected to biomedical research carried out

The ideal candidate will have:

• A background in research contracts
• Specific experience with grants and contracts within universities or the NHS
• Pre and post contract management experience
• Knowledge of some of the following: Medicines for Human Use (Clinical Trials) Regulations; Data Protection Act; Human Tissue Act; UK Policy Framework for Health and Social Care Research
• Knowledge and understanding of the research approval process, the legislation governing research, clinical trials set up and pharmaceutical company requirements
