Right to Buy Paralegal – £30 per hour Umbrella – Initial 3+ months – Local Authority

Venn Group’s specialist legal team are currently recruiting for an experienced Right to Buy Paralegal to join a busy Local Authority on an interim basis.

This is an excellent opportunity to support the delivery of a high-volume caseload within a friendly and supportive Property team.

Role Overview:

• Position: Right to Buy Paralegal

• Rate: £30 per hour Umbrella

• Location: Midlands (Hybrid or Remote working considered)

• Duration: Initial 3 months with likely extension

• Hours: Full-time preferred, part-time considered

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and progress Right to Buy applications from instruction to completion

• Prepare and issue Section 125 notices, ensuring statutory deadlines are met

• Liaise with tenants, solicitors, and internal stakeholders to resolve queries efficiently

• Draft, review, and process sale documentation, ensuring compliance with legislation and Council policies

• Maintain accurate case records and support the Property team with general administrative and legal duties

Requirements:

• Previous experience handling Right to Buy matters within a Local Authority or Housing Association

• Strong knowledge of the Housing Act 1985 and Right to Buy procedures

• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities

• Confident communicator, able to build rapport with internal and external stakeholders
