The Safeguarding Partnership Adults Lead will play a lead role in delivering on specific areas of the local authority’s strategic plan, which combines children’s and adult’s safeguarding arrangements. With the recent completion on children, they now want to commission expertise to ensure they are delivering on safeguarding adults partnership requirements.
Key Responsibilities of the Interim Safeguarding Partnership Adults Lead:
- Creating a sound infrastructure supporting the business of the partnership in relation to safeguarding adults
- Effective learning and development strategy which supports the whole partnerships approach to working with people
- Create sound plan for tackling local protocol and county policy development, supporting the Advancing Safeguarding Adults sub-group
- Improved quality assurance arrangements, instigating a multi-agency case audit
- Report outlining the partnership compliance with the Care Act 2014
- Ensure the partnership is informed on the latest research and evidence in relation to safeguarding adults, to help chairs and vice chairs to prioritise and focus
Skills, experience and knowledge required of the Interim Safeguarding Partnership Adults Lead:
- DBS required
- Previous experience within a safeguarding adults role
- Good track record of leadership around multi-agency protocol development, training and quality assurance
- Previous experience in managing or contributing to Safeguarding Adult reviews
