VACANCY – Safeguarding Manager
Location: Stoke
Length: Temporary – 12 weeks
Permanent post considered
Hours: 37.5 hours a week
Monday – Friday, 9AM – 5PM
Pay: £17 – £20 per hour inclusive of holiday pay
Venn Group is currently recruiting for a Safeguarding Manager to step in on a temporary basis for a reputable charitable organisation based in Stoke. This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to join a well-established company with great social value.
Role Responsibilities:

Provide strategic leadership and performance management, including development of policy and procedures, in relation to adult safeguarding across the organisation

Advise on complex safeguarding cases and support colleagues to complete serious case reviews where it is deemed necessary by the leadership team

Remain up to date in relation to any regulatory or statutory matters concerned with adult safeguarding as well as examples of positive practice

Provide advice and support to organisations across the Partnership in relation to adult safeguarding as it relates to people experiencing multiple needs
Role Duties:

Building the practical safeguarding and risk management expertise, awareness and knowledge for frontline staff but as a primary need across the Operational Management Team;

Refreshing organisation Safeguarding Policies & Procedures

Developing internal Safeguarding Quality Assurance processes and methods (possibly using the Sec 11 framework (children)

Ensuring positive and timely relationships are maintained and developed with internal and external stakeholders

Gathering information relating to ‘trends’ and patterns, conversing with the Directorate so that specific responses can be considered at both an organisational and a service level

Developing and delivering Reflective Practice Development Teams / Communities of Practice by drawing on fit for purpose fictional case studies to assist learning and development

Providing service staff with professional leadership and expertise, keeping up to date with relevant professional developments, technical and legal information and best practice, and applying this knowledge to service delivery

Supporting operational colleagues in building relationships with statutory local safeguarding boards/forums including Police, Social Services and Mental Health Agencies

Liaising, as required with the relevant agencies and LADOs to assist in the investigation of any suspected malpractice by staff
