Safeguarding Officer Required, North Birmingham Based, 3 month initial Contract, Temp to Perm
Venn Group is currently recruiting for a Safeguarding Officer for a University based in North Birmingham. The contract will start temporary but the candidate will get the opportunity of a permanent contract after 3 months. You will be based at home most of the time but will be required to do a few site visits each month.
The Job responsibilities will be to:
- Assessment of, and responding to, safeguarding cases to ensure consistent application and adherence to University policies and procedures
- Assisting with case management, identifying where cases may inter-connect with other University policies and procedure
- Contribute to the effective implementation of the University’s Safeguarding Policy and procedures by providing advice and guidance to all users of the University
- To arrange, promote and/or deliver harm prevention activities and initiatives to students and staff across the University
- Support compliance activities as they pertain to safeguarding, for example with the Office of Students, Education and Skills Funding Agency and Ofsted
- To make timely external referrals to a range of agency, including Children and Adult Social Care, local Channel Panels, in order to appropriately safeguard and support the student or member of staff
- To support the development and monitoring of student awareness of safeguarding, child and adult protection, and Prevent related duties
