Interim Elderly Scheme Manager
(Independent Senior Living Officer)
Venn Group Social Housing Recruitment Team are currently recruiting for an interim Elderly Scheme Manager to come on board on a temporary contract with a client based in Dorset.
Location: Dorset
Contract Type: 3 months (Possibility of extension)
Hours: 37 per week (Mon-Fri) 8:30am – 17:00pm
Hourly Rate: £13- £14
Day to Day Duties:
- Provide support to a number of scheme’s in a geographical area
- Carrying out daily welfare checks for elderly clients
- Provide regular verbal support for vulnerable tenants
- Overseeing all repairs on the schemes and liaising with contractors/repairs team to ensure they are carried out to a suitable standard
- Promote and oversee the installation and programming of equipment that will assist tenants to live independently in their own homes including emergency testing of equipment
- Advise and support the Housing Officer in housing related issues such as, rent arrears, ASB and voids
- Manage and provide support to residents in emergency situations including injury, medical emergencies, lockouts and breakdown in service delivery (such as power cuts)
- Complete daily, weekly and monthly health and safety checks on the schemes
- Maintain records of all contact with tenants
- Set up weekly activities for service users
- Make referrals to other teams and agencies such as Social Services and Community Mental Health Teams and ensure clients are safeguarded
Essential skills:
- Experience of providing support to elderly clients
- A current Enhanced DBS
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office
- Driver with own car
