Medical Secretarial Assistant
Based: South Wales
Duration: 3 months initially
Responsibilities include
- Provide a comprehensive cover for medical secretaries who form part of your team when required for periods of annual leave, absence, and vacancies
- Communicate directly with patient, relatives, and carers over the telephone
- Liaise with appropriate staff in making routine and emergency admissions as directed by clinicians or Medical Secretaries
- Book transport as and when necessary
- Act as a key point of contact for the consultant and team
- Accurately record messages and ensure they are passed on in a timely manner
- Send out clinic appointments and deal with related queries
- Communicate with other sections within the department and other departments within the division
Essential Experience
- Relevant experience within the public sector (ideally NHS)
- Previous office/ audio typing experience
