Secretary to Director/Head of Service
Start: March 2023
Duration: Monthly rolling basis
Rate: Hourly rate negotiable depending on experience
Working Pattern: Hybrid Working (Potentially 1-2 days p/w on-site)
You will be part of a successful Secretariat Team, working in a fast paced and rewarding environment. A newly appointed Manager brings an exciting new dimension and continues to build on previous success, strengthening and enhancing the Secretariat Team.
Role Summary:
Overall responsibility for ensuring the provision of an effective administrative and secretarial support service to the Director. To act as Personal Assistant and Secretary to the Director & Heads of Service, undertake all audio, shorthand and typing using the full range of technology available/ maintain the diary, arrange meetings, monitor telephone calls and act as receptionist. Oversee the delivery of an efficient support service to all the relevant Cabinet Advisory Teams, ensuring deadlines are met and reports contents and layouts are in accordance with laid down procedures.
What you need to be successful in this role:
- NVQ Level 2 in Business Administration or equivalent
- Experience of using Microsoft packages
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to plan and organise diaries
- Excellent communication skills and a good attention to detail
- Self-motivated and able to work with minimum supervision
