We are currently recruiting for a number of opportunities within a large local authority, all on a Fully Remote Working basis. Please see below for further information:
SEN Tribunal Officers x4
As a Tribunal Officer, you would need to:
- Have experience of working within a similar role in another Local Authority
- Conduct mediation meetings with parents and professionals in an attempt to resolve disputed issues wherever possible without the need for legal redress
- Attend where necessary SENDIS Tribunals to present the LA case and defend the appropriateness of the service provision
Rate: £390 per day (Inside IR35)
Duration: Until 31st March 2023
Start: ASAP, with interviews taking place over the next couple of weeks
Mediation Officers x4
As a Mediation Officer, you would need to:
- Attend mediations on behalf of the LA and work collaboratively with parents, young people and education settings to resolve disagreements
- Review mediation referrals received by the LA and liaise with the mediation services
- Work alongside the SENAR officers involved to reduce the number of appeals and mediation requests
Rate: £310 per day (Inside IR35)
Duration: Until 31st March 2023
Start: ASAP, with interviews taking place over the next couple of weeks
Please note, to be considered for these roles you will need to have the following:
- Experience and good understanding of the legal framework for SEND
- Experience of attending mediation meetings
- Good interpersonal skills
- Previous experience working in a similar role within a Council/Local Authority
